Bark + Boarding, in Bailey’s Crossroads, isn’t your everyday doggy daycare. When you walk in, you are instantly hit with a modern, tech-friendly, and hip vibe. That vibe comes from the unorthodox background of the owner, Ryan Fochler a former IT developer, and the amazing staff who want the local pet parents to have a modern experience for pet daycare.

Exterior image of Bark + Boarding. 3 windows seperated by wood panels with gray industrial colored details. the center window pane has the bark + boarding logo. the left panel lists services including doggie daycare, boarding, full service grooming, and midday dog-walking. the right panel lists services including: in-home pet-sitting, retail boutique, pet taxis, and more! There are yellow paw prints along the bottom of all three windows and green pet friendly grass at the bottom of each window.

In addition to the care and commitment to their own doggy pack, they are committed to improving the dog community at large. Amy Duff, the Marketing and Events Manager, says, “It’s really important to all of us at Bark + Boarding to have a positive impact on the community as a whole. We hold vendor markets to showcase and support other local small businesses and artists, we work closely with several local animal rescues like Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and Operation Paws for Homes.”

When Dr. Galanis, here at NAVBB, first approached Bark + Boarding to become our first doggy daycare provider partner, the fit felt perfect. “We are so excited to be able to provide an opportunity for our amazing pet parents to help save k9 lives through our monthly blood drives with NAVBB.” Amy adds. They joined our mission to save canine lives in June of 2023.
