Judy, from Northern Virginia, went into the emergency room very sick. She was severely anemic and jaundice. Her pet parents and vets were very concerned about her condition and urgently needed her to receive a transfusion. The vets called NAVBB where Rancher, a donor with NAVBB for about a year, had participated in his regular monthly donation that morning and was the perfect blood type for Judy.
Due to the urgency, NAVBB staff personally delivered the donated and processed blood to the emergency center where Judy was waiting.
Rancher’s donation this month allowed Judy to recover and to return home to her loving family.
